Down 1.8, For a total of 12.8 on P+!

I never got in my 2.61 miles last night, so I will be running it today!

But I'm down 1.8 more lbs! I'm so stoked! This means from my rejoining weight of 200.2 lbs, I have exactly 3 lbs to make my 10%!!

I can't BELIEVE I was able to recover from the damage of NYE/going into the red a few times this week - I think being back at work (my classroom is on the THIRD floor, and everywhere the kids go for specials is NOT), in addition to beginning my half marathon training REALLY gave me a boost. I'm excited to start this week off - I have some new recipes to try @ the end of the week, a comedy show in NYC, and a wedding on Sunday. I'm going to keep my drinking on Thursday to a minimum at the comedy show, as I have work Friday...

BUT - I find that using my WPA in addition to my dailies works for me. I am going to try NOT to use my AP this week. That's my goal for P+....NOT eating AP. I used it too much on Momentum to try to "save" myself, and frankly, I feel like with all of these P+ I can eat, there is no reason to really NEED the extras, unless there is an emergency.

I'm not going to put a time frame on when I get my 10%. Of COURSE I would LOVE for it to be next week (before my Birthday!) but, I have been SO successful on this plan, that I think it would be pretty silly to set a deadline.

That said though, I would really love to lose these last 33 lbs and hit goal in 2011 - and I FEEL it. I really think it's my year.

BTW, if I ever am using negative self-talk, please kick me!

Feeling GREAT!

  1. That's awesome! Unexpected losses are better in my opinion - it's kind of like scale forgiveness :). Especially with the holidays - I was happy to break even (for the most part) between Thanksgiving and now.

  2. Wow girl you are doing great! I have only lost 3.8 pounds on P+ right now (I've lost 5.8 pounds total since recommitting). I'm trying to find my balance and what makes me really lose more weight on the scale while not denying myself. What's your secret to losing so fast? I know as your weight decreases the losses become smaller so maybe that's my problem? I also have had 3 gains out of 8 (3 gains, 5 losses) so I guess the small gains were what has held me back from losing as much as people like you haha. I'm sooo jealous! :)

  3. Thanks! I have to change the title, cause I realized I lost 16 lbs since recommitting, and 12.8 on P+ (Since Thanksgiving).

I think (honestly) the reason I am seeing so much success now is that my medication for hypothyroidism (was just diagnosed in June) is FINALLY right, and my body is no longer working AGAINST my WL efforts. Make no mistake, it's not HELPING me any, but it's definitely not working AGAINST me!

In the next few weeks, I expect to see at least a small gain. Science says our bodies fight back at some point...but until then, I'll be plugging along.

I REALLY try to focus on my GHGs and trying new things - that keeps me interested, and well-nourished...and ::ahem:: regular, which is helping, too! Over the summer I couldn't "go" all of the time - only once every 3-4 days. Talk about bloating!

I think maybe this week I will post my menus. I made a commitment to do that for myself at some point - maybe you can peruse them and see? lol. I'm not sure WHAT my secret is, other than, 95% of the time, I am satisfied, completely.

  4. Great job KJ!!! I wish I was having that much success. I actually gained a pound this week but after NY's I really can't be surprised. This week is a new week and I'm going to be OP 100%. Hopefully I can take off that pound + some this week.

I'd also love to see a menu. I could always use new ideas.
